NoosaCare Inc - Facilities
NoosaCare provides supported living. Local health officers (The Aged Care Assessment Team), assess prospective Residents' needs regarding levels of care.
CARRAMAR comprises twelve Lodges each housing between eight and twelve persons in single units.
Each residential lodge has a large lounge/communal area and accommodates single bed sitting rooms, all with ensuite bathroom and private garden area, plus spacious communal living areas for socialising.
All Lodges are air conditioned and centrally heated for the residents’ comfort.

The dining area block has a wonderful large, well equipped kitchen, as well as a communal dining room. All meals are prepared on the premises by experienced chefs.
ACCOMMODATION
8 Lodges each housing 8 persons in single units
3 Lodge housing 12 persons in single units
1 Nursing Home (twin share)
Each lodge has a large lounge/communal area.
KABARA offers 73 beds. Lounge and communal areas are provided throughout the facility. Single en-suite rooms with private garden areas are available.
WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY?
Accommodation and all meals, plus room cleaning, laundry service and activities. You will be cared for by qualified staff experienced in aged care.
RESPITE CENTRE
Short term accommodation for High and Low Level care is available.
NURSING HOME CARE
Nursing Home Care is available.
FAMILY INVOLVEMENT
Friends and family are encouraged to continue close contact and involvement in the daily affairs of their friends and relatives at Carramar and Kabara.
VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT
NoosaCare volunteers are devoted, caring helpers who assist with many social functions, provide friendship and assist with activities.
COMMUNITY CENTRE
An energetic residents’ Committee plans continuing events and entertainment. The construction of the Community Centre at Carramar was assisted by a bequest from former President and long time benefactor, the late Wal Escott. It includes stage, auditorium & dressing rooms, library, air conditioned hairdressing salon and a Happy Hour Lounge.
OP SHOP BENEFACTORS
Under the direction of its tireless founder Mrs Robena Berry, O.A.M., the Op Shop in Tewantin has raised over $2 Million, providing substantial support to NoosaCare.
